Erkenbrand, a ranger in the king’s service, has been scripted to serve as guide, scout, and huntsman to a caravan heading to settle new territory. But, he gets separated from them after being chased by a Wolf Clan of beastmen. In the process he gets caught by Snowberry’s Raccoon Clan of beastmen. Will he survive long enough to see his beloved Thealea again or die trying to fend off bandits, magic, and mythical creatures?
Taylor’s novel, Snowberry’s Veil, is the saga of Erkenbrand’s quest for love after a life of living alone in the wild. It is a rather good story, but is bogged down with typos. Often a thought is started and half of it is finished with another thought, making reading difficult and confusing. Words are misspelt and sometimes missing.
Originally published in 2012 with the second edition in 2013 I was surprised the copy I was sent had so many mistakes. It is worth reading if you can get passed them.
