Purgatory Road COver

Lucas Shaw agrees to go on a fool hardy quest to try and find a coded message and USB drive hidden in a flak jacket that could be anywhere by now. According to Sierra, the mysterious woman Lucas helped save, the coded message has directions to a hidden Eden called Shangri La. The ultimate goal is to get Eve, a child who is immune to the 2nd generation of the super flu, to the lab there so that a vaccine can be made to save the rest of humanity.

Blake’s second novel in The Day After Never series, Purgatory Road, is full of challenges for Lucas and his group as they continue their journey in search of Shangri La. The Crew has put out a bounty on Sierra and Eve that has every low life in the badlands of Texas and New Mexico on the lookout. Death and destruction are around every corner. Nothing is easy in this post-apocalyptic dystopian.

The world building in these books is outstanding. The character development is very detailed. The pace is quick and full of twists. I highly recommend this series.

5 out of 5 stars.
