Blake Jackson and his extended family must decide whether they can trust David to help them wipe out a gang of marauding cannibals. David’s former military unit has gone rogue and now that he is a prisoner of the Jackson homestead he wants to redeem himself. Meanwhile, teenaged Michael has gone on a camping trip while his parents go on a cruise when the event happened. He and his best friend’s dad are trying to survive in the mountains when they pick up radio transmissions from around the homestead.
Craven’s fourth novella in The World Burns series, Tears Of The World: A Post-Apocalyptic Story, continues the story of the homestead while introducing new characters. This helps keep me interested in the story.
5 out of 5 stars.
