From the Stars cover

I’m not a big fan of short stories as I always want more. LOL This is a compilation of wonderfully written young adult science fiction short stories! Each an exciting fast read. One in particular showcases Norma Hinkens at her best. I thoroughly enjoyed reading each of these and recommend them highly.

Ashes of the World cover

Blake Jackson and his new extended family are busy putting away food for the coming winter. Sandra Duncan’s father, who is a preacher by trade, has agreed to marry them. Soon after they discover a hostile group looking to take over their farm.

Craven’s second novella in The World Burns series, Ashes of the World, continues Blake’s story as he tries to put all that he has learned and blogged about into the real world in which he now finds himself. With the addition of the Cayhills the work distribution is easier, but is it enough to fend off a larger attacking force?

Another well edited short read full of action and suspense.

A Short Story Review

Human Ouija Cover

From time to time I will interject a review for a short story. Today I was delighted to read Human Ouija by L. Bachman. This story is set for release February 13, 2016.

It’s been six months since Oscar Sermons lost his wife in an accident involving a drunk driver. While visiting her grave he meets Marica Vadim, a member of the well-known Gypsies who lived up in the mountains just to the north of town, who is visiting the grave of her son. Little does he know that his life will be placed in a battle between good and evil, and that Marica along with her aunt Carol are his only hope.

This short story grabs you from the very beginning and does not let go. I was totally fascinated with it and hope to read more. 5 out of 5 stars.

I received this book for free from the author for review consideration. This in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.
