Like Moths to a Flame

Monty Newton with his wife Onnie and their son Sirus have become nomads in the aftermath of the fall. They need to find a safe haven for a few months while Onnie gives birth to their second child. In a field near a desolated small town is a house they hope has the refuge they need.

Shaw’s new novel, See The Light is set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a virus and war. It is a different type of story in that it has elements of otherworldly science fiction. The house has electricity, and there seems to be no way to turn off the lights.

Those lights in a world without power could attract all sorts of folks. That is a danger that the Newtons are willing to deal with for now. But, will that be something they can defend if necessary?

Five out of five stars.
